Barry Hendy the Managing Director, Andrew Donald Design Engineering
A Melbourne based robotics and automation solution provider. Barry is an Electronics Engineer and has worked across a range of technology oriented industries including extensive experience in robotics, as well as digital photography and solar power. ADDE was established 23 years ago and is a leading supplier of turn-key automation systems supplying solutions to the pharmaceutical, food and various other industries from concept to completion. Barry and his business partner purchased ADDE from the founder 6 years ago.
Experience has ranged from small to large private Australian companies (ANCA) through to the bluest of blue-chip multinationals (Kodak), working in local, Asia regional and international roles, including time living in the USA.
An entrepreneur with strong strategic vision, communication and presentation skills with proven team building and leadership success.
BJoseph Bertolini PhD, R&D Director, CSL Behring
Joseph has been involved in the plasma fractionation industry for over 24 years. Prior to that he held a number of research and academic appointments at the Population Council, New York, St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research, and Monash University.
At CSL Behring he has been closely involved in the technical development and improvement of the immunoglobulin and albumin products manufactured at CSL Behring. Although his prime responsibility is to provide technical support to the manufacturing facility, he has a strong interest in exploring new bioprocessing technologies to improve through-put and yield.
In addition he has an interest in exploiting new techniques for analysing the physiochemical and biological properties of therapeutic proteins – necessary for establishing product comparability following process change and addressing attendant regulatory requirements.
To achieve this, he maintains an active collaboration with external institutes as a means of accessing new technological and conceptual advances.
In addition to publishing in in his area of interest, he contributes to the activities of a number of national and international conference and industry organizations.
He was the chief editor and contributor to a seminal book in the plasma fractionation industry field titled “Production of Plasma Proteins for Therapeutic Use” Wiley (2013) and has recently contributed a chapter titled “ The purification of plasma proteins for therapeutic use” to Rossi’s Principles of Transfusion Medicine (5th Ed) Wiley Blackwell (2016)
